User Profile Field Descriptions

The table describes the fields of the User Profile form, which is used to add or modify a user profile.

Field

Description

ID

Display only field. Displays the ID assigned to the user after the user is added.

F/M/L Name

First name, middle initial, and Last name of the user.

Active

Checkmark indicates the user is active.

No checkmark indicates the user is not allowed to log in.

Abbreviation

Abbreviation of user name that will be displayed in the system. (required)

Import Xref

The user’s ID in the accounting system (OMD). During an import, records assigned with this ID in the accounting system would be assigned to this user in the mySalesChain system.

Address

Street address of the user’s work location.

City/State/Zip

City, state, and zip code of the user’s work location.

Email Address

Full email address of the user.

Phone

Work phone number, including extension, of the user.

User ID

ID the user will use to log into the mySalesChain system.

Password

Password the user will use to log into the mySalesChain system.

Change Next Login

Checkmark indicates the user will have to change the password the next time the user logs in. (The new password will be saved in the Password field of this profile.)

No checkmark indicates the password does not have to be changed.

Trade Style

Display of the mySalesChain system.

User Type

Type of functions the user is allowed to have. (For example, Sales Rep versus Manager. Types vary.)

Territory

Territory assigned to the user. Selections are configured in the System Configuration. (optional)

Branch

Branch assigned to the user. Selections are configured in the System Configuration.

Priority Nbr

Priority of the user when SRA rules are run. If users have assignment criteria that overlap so that an account would match more than one, the user with the highest priority will be assigned the account (1 is highest, 0 is no priority). 

Has Calendar

Checkmark indicates the user’s calendar can be viewed by other users while arranging meetings (to determine conflicts).

No checkmark indicates the calendar cannot be viewed.

Price Level

Pricing level the user is allowed to use (in proposal/order tool).

Public Calendar

Checkmark indicates the user’s calendar can be accessed and modified directly by other users (to schedule the user’s time).

No checkmark indicates only the user can directly access the user’s calendar. (Default)

Member of Group

System groups that the user belongs to.

To put the user in that group, click on a group name in Available Groups and click on <.

To remove a user from all groups, click on >>.
To remove a user from a single group, click on the group name in Member of Group and click on >.

Supports User(s)

Users that this user will support. This user will be able to access the records of the selected users. (Normally used for non-sales personnel who perform administrative duties, for example, a lease coordinator.)

To select a single name, click on a user name.
To select multiple names or add names, press CTRL and click on each name. (If you don’t use CTRL, any names already selected will be cleared.)
To select a range of names, click on a name then press SHIFT and click on another name. All names between the two will be selected.

Override Branch-level Price Level Settings

Checkmark indicates user is not restricted to the Branch’s price level.

Selected Price Levels

Price levels available to the user.

To select a level, click on a level in Available Price Levels and click on <.

To remove a level, click on the name in Selected Price Levels and click on >.
