Using the Leads List

The Leads Tool displays a list of existing leads by account name, similar to the following figure. It is opened by clicking on the View->Leads menu option. More than one lead may exist for an account.

The Leads list can be sorted and filtered to show certain leads with specific criteria using the drop-down search fields and the Letter Bar. The criteria for the list that is displayed when you open the tool can be set by changing your user defaults under LEADS in your Preferences configuration (File->User Setup->Preferences). 

Note: The list may display all leads or leads for accounts beginning with a specific letter. The letter that is currently selected is shown at the top, for example, Leads (‘a…’).

The column headings are described below. The list also contains action buttons and search/filter fields. The fields allow you to filter the list to display different subsets of the full list.

Leads List Column Headings

The table describes the fields displayed for each lead in the leads list.

Field

Description

T

Type of lead.   customer;  lease; non-customer; contract;
  asset;  competitor equipment

Company Name

Company name of the account that the lead is for.

Address

Full address of the account.

Cat

Sales Rep Category of the lead.
Note: Categories are defined by your system administrator. This field does not appear if multiple categories are not configured.

Rep

Sales rep assigned to the lead.

Status

Current status of the lead: New, Qualified, Accepted, Contacted, Proposal, Rejected, Sale, Customer, Lockout, Discarded

Sel

Checkmark indicates the lead is to be included in the operation initiated by clicking on (bulk note), (bulk task), or (marketing campaign).
