Reassigning Selected Accounts

Reassigning a group of accounts to a particular Sales Rep is done through the Accounts Tool. In this case, the current Sales Reps on the accounts may all be different. This function can be used to redistribute accounts to a new Sales Rep or when minor adjustments need to be made.

To reassign accounts:

1)  Make sure you are logged in with an ID that has administrative privileges.

2)  Click on View->Accounts.

3)  Display a list of accounts that includes the account(s) you want to reassign.

4)  Click on the SEL box of each account in the list that you want to be reassigned to the same user so a checkmark appears. 

5)  If you only want to reassign a particular Sales Rep’s open leads, open tasks, and/or future appointments for the selected accounts (instead of all Reps), select the name in the Sales Rep pull-down field. (DO NOT click on Refresh.)

6)  Click on the  button. One of the following forms appears, depending on whether a User name was selected in the Accounts List.

7)  In the To User field, select the Sales Rep that should be assigned to the account(s).

8)  In the SRA Category field, select the SRA category for the Sales Rep. (All will assign the Sales Rep to all categories.)

9)  Click on checkboxes as needed. See the following table.

10) Click on Save.

Reassign Accounts From

Displays Relative Assignments (because the accounts may not have the same From Rep) or the user name selected on the Accounts List.

To User

Select the Sales Rep name from the list that will be assigned to the selected accounts. (To Rep)

SRA Categories

Select a category from the list to assign the To Rep for only that category in the account. All assigns the To Rep for all categories.

Mark as protected assignments

Check to make the new assignment protected (so it is not changed by an automatic reassignment).
Uncheck to leave the new assignment unprotected.

Reassign Open Leads

Check to assign To Rep to the open leads of the selected accounts that have the selected category. If a User Name was selected in the Accounts List, only the open leads assigned to that Rep for the accounts will be assigned to the To Rep. If no User Name was selected, all open leads for the accounts will be assigned to the To Rep.
Uncheck to leave assignments on leads unchanged.

Reassign Open Tasks

Check to assign open tasks associated with the accounts to the To Rep.
If a User Name was selected in the Accounts List, only that Rep’s open tasks for the accounts will be assigned to the To Rep. If no User Name was selected, ALL open tasks for the accounts will be assigned to the To Rep, even if you are only reassigning one SRA category.
Uncheck to leave task assignments unchanged.

Reassign Future Appointments

Check to assign all upcoming appointments associated with the accounts to the To Rep. If a User Name was selected in the Accounts List, only that Rep’s appointments for the accounts will be assigned to the To Rep. If no User Name was selected, ALL upcoming appointments for the accounts will be assigned to the To Rep, even if you are only reassigning one SRA category.
Uncheck to leave appointments unchanged.

Send Account Assignee a Task

Check to create a task assigned to To Rep for each account that is reassigned. Uncheck to not create the tasks.

Send Lead Assignee an Email

Check to send the To Rep an email for each lead that is reassigned. Uncheck to not send emails.

Send Lead Assignee a Task

Check to create a task assigned to To Rep for each lead that is reassigned. Uncheck to not create tasks.
