To create a proposal:
1) If you are in the Lead
View of the lead to be associated with the proposal, click on .
The proposal form appears.
2) If you are in the Account View:
· Click on . A list of open leads for the account is displayed.
(If none exist, a new lead will be created and the proposal form will
appear instead.)
· If the proposal should be associated with an existing lead, click the Select button of that lead. The proposal form appears.
· If a lead does not exist for the proposal, click the Click here… button at the bottom to create a new lead. The new proposal form appears, with account information populated.
3) Fill out the proposal form. See table for information on the fields.
4) Click on Save. The proposal form will be
redisplayed with an ID# and additional action buttons
at the top.
Note: The proposal will
be listed in the Sales tab
of the Account View and associated Lead View.
5) To generate the proposal document from the form:
· Click on
Docs. A document selection form is displayed.
Note: The listed
documents may vary from this example.
· Click on the select box of the proposal template(s) to use.
· Click on
Generate. The document editor opens with the
generated proposal document.
· To print the
proposal to your local printer, click on .
· To email the proposal, click on the File menu and select Email as PDF or Email as MSWord. The email form appears.
· To export the document, click on the File menu and select Export as PDF or Export as MSWord. Select the location on your PC for the file.
· When you are
done, close the document editor’s browser window. You will return to the
proposal form.
Note: The document is not saved. It can be regenerated from
the proposal form at any time.
6) To exit the form, click on a link in the pathbar. Home>Account>Lead
